EASTER SUNDAY

These are from Easter morning at our house. The kids had a great time before church!...Well, Ethan was either asleep or half asleep as you can see from the photo of him retrieving the egg from the window! He was in the middle of a squirm. TOO CUTE! After church, we went to Auntie Mel's (my sister) house. I'll post pics from her egg hunt later...

Party Pictures

Here are some photos from Ethan's friend, Leah's birthday party. YES, he has friends already! It was a fun party and Ethan's first invitation! UH OH...is Ethan moving in on Oliver's girl???

Roof Avalanche!

This is where the snow that was left on the garage roof went a-sliding down! It was probably a foot thick. There was a TON more than this before it all started melting at the beginning of last week. The other side was completely melted because it sits in the sun from about 1 o'clock on. The picture with the van is our steep driveway with all that lovely sand that we drag in the house every day. Makes a mess but I'm grateful that we don't fall and break bones! The photo with the trees is our lake view. We don't have this view in the summer because the trees are full of leaves. This is the view of our "back yard"....it IS our backyard but our house faces this way! You can see the snow is starting to melt on top of it (to the right of the photo). And lastly I threw in a cute photo of Ethan. He looks like he's holding out his arms for a great big hug!

Big Icicles

Kara and Noah found some large icicles hanging off the roof of our garage the other day. Dontcha love the photo where they can't even open their eyes because the sun is so bright? Cute! This morning while bringing them up the driveway to the bus, we noticed ALL the snow from the roof of the garage had slid down in one GIGANTIC piece! I took pics and I will add one later!

Video of Elijah & Crown

The Crowned Prince

Elijah took one look at Mommie's crown from last night (see Erin's blog) and asked "ONE, ME? ONE, ME CROWN?!". So, we made him a crown....as you can see, we added stickers later!

Kara-Wara

The other day when we got home (all of us), we realized how icy the driveway was. For those of you who haven't been here, our driveway is REALLY steep. Scott and I decided right away, let's head down to our town's DPW and get a bucket of sand. We keep a 5 gal. paint bucket in the garage so Scott got out to get it and ran in the house real quick to get his snow boots on. (Kinda muddy and messy at the DPW!) So when he was coming back out, I yelled out the window, "Let Molly come!". Molly is our big ol' black/chocolate lab. She was SO excited. I opened the slider of our van on Kara's side (there's a power button near the driver's seat) and instead of hopping up into the van, she LEAPED straight onto Kara! She's like 2x the size of poor little Kara! Now, Kara LOVES Molly but was thoroughly irritated with her and yelled at her. However, once Molly hopped into the 3rd row and started whacking her tail against the side of Elijah and Noah's heads, she was cracking up laughing! Then Molly made herself comfy, sitting between Elijah and Noah. We were all cracking up laughing! It did look hilarious, Molly sitting all pretty between the boys with a look on her face like, "OK, let's go, I'm ready!". Well, Kara and I always talk about how we're the only girls in the family and so once she looked back and saw Molly like that and was laughing, she exclaimed, "Hey Mommie!? Now there are THREE girls!!!" It was so adorable! I love my little girl, she's so beautiful, smart, funny, exhuberant and best of all, she's KIND. I'm grateful for a daughter who cares about others. :)
